Manchester, the united way...

Perhaps more aptly titled the Old Trafford tour, walking down the fame Sir Matt Busby Way onto the imposing stadium on match day was certainly created a highlight as well as a wish to revisit the experience again and again. As pointed out in the previous post, I am a football fan and I do support Manchester United. Naturally, Old Trafford became the haven and focal point of my entire time in Manchester.

Manchester is like a blend between the big and the small, swaying towards the smaller side of things. I soon found out that central Manchester is really compact and you could literally walk from one end to the other easily. There're enough shops to keep you entertain and Christmas markets perfectly sized with charm for someone like me who is terrified of big crowds (except when you're talking sports of course) as they make me feel overwhelmingly lost.

This time round I squeezed every inch of football out of my experience in both London and Manchester, and I love both cities. I hope I will go back to see the other sides of the cities that I have yet to discover.

London, I'll be back again...

Before my Christmas break I was desperate to fly out of England. I had in my mind some concept that it would not be good enough if I stayed in the country. Fortunately, my sister knocked some sense into my narrow mind saying why not tour England first? I have to admit that I have had some love lost with this dingy old country, but I was willing to give it another go. First stop: London.

Just to give you a heads up, I am a huge football fan. Being in London only means two things: Arsenal and Chelsea. In simpler terms: Emirates Stadium and Stamford Bridge. In addition, I love tennis, which translates into Wimbledon All England Lawn Tennis Club. So below are lots of pictures of stadiums and a few of other London things that I have managed to fit in between those famous structures.

Other things I did included watching Wicked the musical. It was absolutely amazing and I suspect I might just have caught the musical bug. Sudden urge to watch as many as I can while I am still in this country.

London was great, interesting and still have many streets left to explore. I would love to go back again, I would love to stay in that great city.

Grilled Salmon in Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. The only decent picture I took there.
